Shedding the Old, Stepping Into the New, and Fully Becoming Myself

Hey, y’all. It’s been a while. I know I haven’t posted anything on Wholeness Within Reach this year, but trust me, life has been lifing. And not in a bad way—in a necessary way.

I don’t know about anybody else, but this season has been about getting myself together. Personally. Spiritually. Physically. Emotionally. I’ve been decluttering my life, detoxing my energy, and cutting ties with anything and anyone that doesn’t align with the person I’m becoming. And let me tell you—it hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it.

So, let this be my reintroduction. Let’s talk about where I’ve been, what I’ve been learning, and why this next chapter is going to be my best yet.

Sometimes, life requires you to step back and sit with yourself. No distractions. No obligations to explain yourself to anyone. Just you, your thoughts, and the work that needs to be done.

This year has been about that deep, necessary work for me. I’ve been:

  • Detoxing my energy—letting go of relationships, habits, and thoughts that no longer serve me.

  • Reconnecting spiritually—spending time in prayer, with God, and in alignment with my purpose.

  • Prioritizing my health—mentally, physically, and emotionally. Learning that rest is just as productive as work.

  • Getting clear on my boundaries—realizing that protecting my peace isn’t selfish; it’s survival.

And if I’m being honest? It’s been uncomfortable at times. Growth always is. But I refuse to stay the same when I know I’m meant for more.

Now the Hard Parts of that is that this process hasn’t just been about glowing up—it’s also been about grieving. Letting go of people I once loved. Accepting that some doors had to close. Realizing that not everyone is meant to come with me on this next part of my journey.

And that’s okay.

Because when you start choosing yourself, not everyone will understand. When you begin walking in alignment, people will fall away. And when you start setting boundaries, some will be offended. But peace? Oh, peace is priceless.

I’m learning that the people who are meant for you will never require you to shrink.

So, What’s Next?

Now that I’ve done some deep cleansing, I’m ready to get back into what I love—writing, sharing, and building Wholeness Within Reach into a space that not only reflects my journey but supports others who are on their own path to healing and self-discovery.

I’m stepping into this next season with:

Clarity—on who I am and what I deserve.

Excitement—for what’s to come.

Courage—to show up as my full, authentic self.

To Everyone Reading This…

If you’ve been in a similar space—feeling like you’re shedding layers, evolving, and stepping into something new—know that you’re not alone. Growth can feel isolating, but you’re making space for better.

So, let’s start this next chapter together. Drop a comment, send me a message, and tell me:

What’s something you’ve let go of this year? And what’s something you’re making room for?

Welcome back to Wholeness Within Reach. I’m so happy to be here with you in this space.
